Seven Muslim Nations Denounce Israeli Strikes in Gaza
"These actions risk escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at consolidating calm and restoring stability, at a time when regional and international parties are working collectively to advance the second phase of the (US) President Donald Trump's peace plan and to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803," the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia said in a joint statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The diplomatic leaders characterized the ongoing violations as a direct impediment to peace negotiations, obstructing attempts to establish conditions necessary for transitioning Gaza toward enhanced security and humanitarian stability.
The ministers also called for full commitment to the success of the second phase of Trump's Gaza peace plan.
All parties must honor their obligations during this critical window and demonstrate restraint to preserve the ceasefire while avoiding provocations that could derail current diplomatic progress, the ministers urged.
The statement also emphasized the necessity of establishing an environment that facilitates rapid recovery and reconstruction efforts, while pursuing a sustainable peace agreement founded on Palestinian self-determination rights and statehood, consistent with international legal frameworks, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Israel has persisted with military operations despite the ceasefire agreement, resulting in 524 fatalities and 1,360 wounded Palestinians since October 10, according to Gaza's media office.
